Veda Wang was born and raised in Shanghai and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Shanghai Normal University. In September 2010, she began her teaching career after graduating from National University in San Diego, California, USA. While there, she earned two masters degrees, one of which was in education, specialising in global education. She lived in America for five years while pursuing her degrees and practicing teaching.
She has taught in two schools in China and four schools in America, teaching students from kindergarten to Grade 8. She has been fortunate enough to experience international school settings and US classrooms, including being a homeroom teacher at Shanghai United International School. Prior to coming to Wuxi, she taught at the British International School of Beijing. Having experienced the UK National Curriculum, Veda is confident that she can make every student reach their full potential.
In her spare time, Veda enjoys jogging and spending time with family. She has a two-year-old son and her husband is a Grade 3 teacher at Nanwai King’s College School Wuxi. Veda offers a Chinese origami as a co-curricular activity.
