Shabina Hoskote is a primary years specialist, who has more than 11 years’ international teaching experience, working with pupils from kindergarten through Grade 5. She has taught in international schools in India and Singapore and spent six years teaching Grades 3-5, an age group that she enjoys teaching immensely.
In addition to a masters degree, she has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Nottingham, UK. Shabina believes in ongoing learning and has completed an IB workshop on ‘Understanding the PYP Curriculum Framework’.
Being part of a start-up school with the academic philosophy of King’s College School, Wimbledon, is an exciting challenge for Shabina. She believes in providing a classroom that has a safe, friendly and supportive environment in which every pupil can feel valued as an individual. Her philosophy is to empower every child to interact freely with both peers and teachers, as well as to direct their own learning. She believes in hands-on learning that is differentiated to suit every learning style.
