Joanna Rose - International Teacher
Primary Homeroom Teacher(International School)

Jo Rose remembers her own primary teachers very clearly. They enthused her, inspired her, fed her curiosity and were patient with her (many) mistakes, giving her a lifelong love of learning and a pattern for her own teaching practice.
She graduated in 2003 from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where she specialized in contemporary theatre and theatre in education. Subsequently, she went on to work with community arts organisations in schools and youth centres all over Scotland. She ran arts projects in places as diverse as castles, ancient forests, shipyards and swimming pools, finding and promoting creativity in everyday life. She then returned to university to complete her Teaching qualification at the University of Aberdeen and has been teaching, both in the UK and abroad, ever since. She considers teaching a privilege and loves building a classroom community where each child is valued and challenged.
Encouraging her students to view learning as an adventure and to embrace the unexpected, Jo is passionate about developing creative, kind, curious students who will make the world a better place.
